Farmington Woman Accused Of Driving Drunk In Stolen Limo

Have you ever done something you thought would be funny and only later found out what a bad idea it was?

We’re guessing a 23-year-old Farmington woman has.

She was recently charged in connection with the alleged theft of a limousine, which she then reportedly drove drunk.

According to WCCO, the woman was part of a group of people on a bar crawl. When the rest of the group went into a Hampton bar, the woman stayed behind.

The driver of the limousine told police that he went inside the bar to use the facilities. When he returned, the limo was not there anymore.

The woman was apprehended (behind the wheel, evidently) not long after. She was given a blood-alcohol content test and reportedly blew a 0.17.

The woman has now been charged with a felony count of theft and two misdemeanor DWIs. As far as it has been reported, she has no criminal history.

There is an element of silliness to this story, to be sure, but we can guarantee you the woman is not laughing. On the felony alone, she could face up to 5 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if she is convicted.
