Attorney Anthony Grostyan recently took on a felony drug possession case. In this particular case the client was found with over three pounds of marijuana in their possession. Even though marijuana is only a Schedule 1 illegal drug, the amount of the drug was significant which merited felony charges.
The possible penalties for a felony drug crime are increasingly siffer with larger fuines and jail time. Not to mention these possible consequences grow substantially with each subsequent offense.
Fortunately in the case of State v. C.M.R. Attorney Grostyan was able to negotiate an agreement with the judge and prosecution at the pretrial hearing. Rather than serving several years behind bars, the client’s case will be dismissed within six months. This just goes to show the importance of having an experienced and aggressive defense lawyer to protect your rights.
